Commitments
On the twelfth night of Christmas (Jan 5/09) we gathered as a community to celebrate and renew our commitments. Through a meal, scripture, liturgy, candles and song we shared in a joyful event.

Solitude and Community
I'm reading Clowing in Rome by Henri Nouwen, and I am struck by a section on solitude and community. I'll quote excerpts:
True City - Creating Community
Dave Witt and Tracey Fraser, two people who were part of the process of our Kirkendale cluster, wrote about community in Hamilton.
Common Life
"And all the believers met together in one place and shared everthing they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need." Acts 2:44-45
What does this mean for today? Christians in the city of Hamilton are beginning to ask how to live out the gospel and its mission in our cultural context. For some of us, we are being drawn to a common life.
